Address: 22136 Shorebird Way , 19966

Cross Streets: Oak Orchard Rd/Willet Way

On Thursday evening, August 6th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a second alarm within the fire district for an automatic fire alarm in a residential location on Shorebird Way in the Plover Point development off Oak Orchard Road. It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm sounding on the first floor of the residential structure.

Emergency response units included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility, Squad 80 and Rescue 80 from an earlier incident within the fire district.

Emergency response units completed an exterior and initial exterior evaluation and commenced with an overall discussion with the owner of the residential structure.  All emergency response units were authorized to return or remain in quarters.

This incident is the result of transformer issues associated with the earlier and a power surge.

All emergency response apparatus was permitted to return to their respective stations.
