Nature: Medical Emergency- Lift Assistance
On Wednesday evening, July 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad with a lift assist assignment in the Warwick Park development off river Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Utility 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brus 80 from the Long Neck facility.
The fire department medical assist assignment involves a team of trained firefighters who respond to calls to assist individuals who have need assistance at the request of the local EMS providers. This service is crucial for the community, especially for seniors and those with mobility issues.
