Nature: Propane Leak – Gunnel Road – Pot Nets Bayside

On Saturday afternoon, July 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a propane leak incident on Gunnel Road in the Pot Nets Bayside development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a propane tank with a hole and leaking in the area of the Pot Nets Compound.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility. Tanker 80 was on another assignment in the area.

Emergency response crew assignment included incident size-up and evaluation which identified a small portable propane was leaking.

It appears that a small portable propane was leaking.  It was disconnected from any appliance. 

Assistance was tendered with respect to the leak mitigation.

After mitigation, all emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
