Nature: Elevator/Escalator Rescue

On Friday, July 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an elevator rescue incident on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula. It was reported to be two persons struck inside an elevator car.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included facility evaluation and assistance with getting the occupant(s) out of the respective elevator car.

The facility was notified to contact their elevator repair contractors for a service evaluation.

The emergency units were available to respond to the next emergency incident at Massey’s Landing.
