Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector

Location: 33335 West Waters Edge Trl Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, June 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding incident on West Waters Edge Trail off Green Road.  It was reported that the CO detectors have activated within the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial size up task, exterior and interior evaluation with gas meter detectors as well as an overall evaluation.  There was a faulty detector identified.

After discussion with the property occupants all emergency apparatus were unauthorized to return to their respective stations.
