Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 24089 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday evening, June 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential structure fire on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Holly Lake Campsite.  It was reported that a pot was on fire in the house.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial 360 exterior evaluation as well as commencing with an interior evaluation.  Discussion with the occupants identified that a pot was fire and removed from the residence but the smoke and smells remained.  Crews were to assist with ventilation both natural and positive pressure.

After assignments were completed, the apparatus was authorized to return to their respective stations.
