On Monday afternoon, May 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident within a commercial residential structure in the Renaissance Nursing Complex.  It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm activation in a commercial residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response units from Indian River coordinated an initial exterior commercial survey and commenced with an interior evaluation as well.

It was an undetermined cause of this activation incident.  After consultation, all emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
