-
?? Originally from Elmira, New York
-
? Currently serving his 6th year with Station 80

“Whatever it takes to help the people in my community.”
?? What people may not realize:
“The amount of time and dedication it takes to be an active member.”

As a Chief Officer, Bob responded to a large commercial fire involving five connected businesses. Through organized teamwork and strategic decision-making, crews were able to contain the fire to its point of origin - saving lives and helping neighboring businesses recover quickly.

?? Favorite local spot:
The Big Chill
?? Fun Facts:

?? Why it matters:
“Reaching out to the community to help prevent fires from happening.”
?? Why volunteer?
“Neighbors helping neighbors.”
?? His advice:
“No matter who you are or what your background is, there is always something you can do to contribute to the Volunteer Fire Service.”
Bob is widely recognized for his leadership in Fire Prevention & Safety and brings more than 48 years of experience in the fire service. He has played a major role in community outreach, children’s education programs, fire prevention initiatives, and special events throughout the Indian River Fire District. His knowledge, dedication, and commitment to public safety continue to make a lasting impact both inside and outside the firehouse.
?? Thank you, Bob, for your decades of dedication, leadership, and service to the fire service and our community!
