On Wednesday, May 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide detector activation on White Pine Drive in the Pines of Long Neck development.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a possible gas leak.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation, gas meter detector readings as well as overall assistance with the residents.

It was determined to be unfounded with all emergency response apparatus being returned to their respective facilities.
