Nature: Structure Fire - Residential (Single) – Assist Lewes (82)

On Tuesday, May 5^th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire departments were alerted to assist Lewes (82) fire department with a residential structure fire on Overfalls Drive North in the Breakwater development.  It was reported to be heat coming from a wall with smoke and smell prevalent.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Initial arriving units from Lewes coordinated the incident size-up and mitigation effort while downgrading the alarm to Lewes units already on location.

All remaining emergency response apparatus were cancelled and authorized to return to their respective stations.
