Nature: Fire Nature Unknown

Address: Bay Farm Rd and School Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, April 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire nature unknown in the area of Bay Farm and School Lane.  It was reported to a possible fire in the front yard near the intersection, could be a burn pit but uncertain.

Emergency response units from Indian River included a Duty Officer and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and investigation with suppression being required. The Officer in Charge held all other apparatus at the stations.

It was identified to be a small, possibly unattended bonfire or campfire; however, no one was located at the residence.  The Office in Charge requested the suppression of the fire.

All apparatus were permitted to return to their respective station after suppression completed.
