Nature: MVC – Pedestrian – Silicato Drive & Lowell Ave

Location: Silicato Dr and Lowell Av Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, April 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Silicato Drive and Lowell Avenue.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Delaware State Police – Aviation Unit – Troop 2 and the Sussex County Paramedics.  It was reported that a pedestrian was hit by a car while walking within the apartment complex.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were downgraded after initial arriving units identified no injuries and no need for fire apparatus.

It appears that a white Toyota was traveling in the apartment complex parking area when the car and pedestrian collided.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
