Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure – Merganser Ct., Peninsula Lakes

Location: 29509 Merganser Court, Peninsula Lake, Millsboro, DE 

On Saturday morning, March 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident within a residential structure on Merganser Court in the Peninsula Lakes development.  It was reported to be a smoke detector activation in a single family residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Engine 80 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police which were returning from a previous emergency incident that was cancelled while responding to the incident location.

Emergency response units from Indian River coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation and was apprised it was a culinary mishap where assistance with ventilation was provided.

Upon completion, all apparatus units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
