Nature: MVC – Vehicle Accident

Address: John J Williams Hwy and Brandywood Circle

On Wednesday morning, March 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Brandywood Circle.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle accident with possible minor injuries from a two-vehicle accident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a maroon Chevrolet Malibu sedan and maroon Ford F150 Pick up collided while traveling on John J. Williams Highway.  Both vehicles sustained damage and there were no vehicle occupant injuries.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
