Nature: Structure Fire

On Friday, February 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was returning from a previous incident an alerted for a structure fire on Oak Orchard Road across from the Station #1 fire station facilities.  It was reported to be a shed (non-vehicle) type structure across from the main station facility.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80, Engine 80 and Traffic Control 80 from the Oak Orchard area.

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression and overhaul of the impacted area and notification of utility service companies for low hanging wires in the immediate area.

It appears that a chicken coop type structure caught fire which ignited a nearby fencing and related debris around the impacted area.  The fire was contained to this immediate area.

Access for fire company apparatus was impacted by low hanging utility wires from a nearby utility pole to the church

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
