Nature:  Final Farewell Tribute – Final Alarm for The Honorable George H. Bunting, Jr.

A Final Farewell Tribute for the late Senator George H. Bunting, Jr. was held at the Millville Fire Company.  Senator Bunting was an Honorary Member of Millville, Bethany Beach, Roxana, and Millsboro fire departments and a true supporter of the fire service in Sussex County.

There was a fire service walk-through promptly at the Mariners Bethel Church.

The fire service paid their respects as Senator Bunting’s procession stopped in front of the Millville Fire Station for a final alarm. All attending fire company person lined up in a straight line across the station’s front pad as the procession commenced. There was a strong presence from the fire service, as Senator Bunting was a good friend to every fire department in the county when he served as a State Senator.

It was requested that the antique apparatus from every company that Senator Bunting served be represented.   These stations included:

• Indian River 80

• Millsboro 83

• Millville 84

• Rehoboth Beach 86

• Roxana 90

• Selbyville 88

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hereby acknowledges the efforts of Senator Bunting and expresses its condolences and best wishes to the Bunting Family.
