On Monday morning, December 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm at the multi-residential structure off Long Neck Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.  Additionally, the Delaware State Fire Police responded to assist.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts which identified that a telephone utility service provider was working at the office location which was the rationale for the activation, the exterior evaluation of the facility yielded no visible or audible signs. The rationale for the alarm sounding was associated with the contractor.  However, it was documented that the alarm system continues to need remediation.

All emergency fire response units were authorized to return and be available for other emergency incidents in the area.
