Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector

Location: 26881 William Street Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday morning, December 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide detector activation on William Street Road.  It was reported that the carbon monoxide detectors continue go off within the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation before commencing with the interior evaluation of the residential structure prior to being cancelled by the Incident Command Unit.

It was identified that a faulty detector was the issue at the residential structure.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters when complete with their respective assignments.
