Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, December 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Mount Joy Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Millsboro EMS, and the Sussex County Paramedics.  It was reported to be three vehicle collision with possible injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  The Millsboro and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad EMS units  responded to the incident location as well.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation services.

It appears that a blue Toyota RAV4 and a white Chrysler 300 sedan collided at the intersection which allowed the Chrysler to cross the median and striking a maroon Buick Encore.  All vehicles suffered damage and the vehicle occupants were evaluated and/or transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the complete closure of John J. Williams Highway for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
