Nature: Commercial Structure Fire - Assist Lewes (82) Weis Market
Location: 17232 North Village Main Blvd Villages Of Five Points, DE 19958
On Friday afternoon, November 21st, the Indian River (80), Milton (85) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire departments were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a commercial structure fire at the Weis Market on North Village Main Boulevard in the Villages of Five Points. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be a building/structure fire with an evacuation in process.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.
Emergency response units from Indian River and many other responding entities were cancelled while responding to the incident location.
It was reported that someone was able to fully extinguish the fire thereby reducing the need for the additional apparatus from the mutual aid partners.
