Nature: Vehicle Accident
Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, November 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road in the vicinity of Silicato Drive.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with air bag deployment and possibility of two patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization where needed, traffic control with closure of Indian Mission Road, fluid and debris recovery, vehicle stabilization and overall incident mitigation activities. 

It appears that a white Acura RDX and a silver Mercedes Benz SUV collided at the intersection of Silicato Drive and Indian Mission Road rendering both vehicle inoperable and occupant injuries.

The Delaware State Police were requested to close this segment of Indian Mission Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
