• Fire Alarm Zone 13 – Front Hall Smoke Detector Activation

Throughout the day of Sunday, November 19th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for automatic fire alarm incidents within the fire district as illustrated.

Incident #1 @ 11:45 on Reeve Road in the Plover Point development.

Emergency response units were Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency responders were notified that the subscriber called back to cancel with proper passcode being provided.

All units were cancelled and authorized to return to their respective quarters.

Incident #2 @ 17:26 on Hatteras Drive in the Pelican Point development.

Emergency response units included Chief 80 from the Oak Orchard area.

Emergency responders were notified that the call back yielded proper passcode wishing to cancel.

All emergency response units were cancelled and authorized to return to their respective quarters.

Automatic fire alarms (faulty or false) which are not actual emergency events can be costly and inconvenient for both the homeowner and the fire department.
