Nature: MVC – Rollover with Entrapment

Location: just north of this loc - at the curve - blue jeep

Address:  Banks Rd and Rudder Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, November 7^th, the Indian River (80) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover and possible entrapment on Banks Road near Winding Creek Village.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be a single vehicle rollover with entrapment.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, prepare for extrication, traffic control, patient stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation.   The specific assignment included a windshield removal to access the occupant compartment.  The rescue assist entities were cancelled while responding to the incident.

It appears that a blue Jeep SUV was traveling on Banks Road and lost control and overturned on its side up against the Baywood Green golf course fencing.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of the Banks Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
