Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment

On Friday November 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Millsboro EMS were alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Layton Davis Road.  It was reported to be vehicle accident with possible occupant entrapment.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Utility 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. A rescue assist assignment requested the Millsboro (83) Fire Company to respond as well.

Emergency response crew assignments were to prepare for vehicle extrication because of responding reports regarding the scene synopsis. 

Many persons reported a multiple vehicle accident with potential heavy entrapment and possibly three vehicles were involved.

It should be notated that this section of John J. Williams Highway will be closed for an extended period of time.
