Nature: Structure Fire – Commercial Buildings

Address:  28597 Quarter Mile Dr Dagsboro, DE 19939

On Tuesday, November 4^th, many Sussex County fire companies were alerted to assist the Dagsboro (73) Fire Company with a working commercial structure fire at the B&E Tire & Auto business off DuPont Highway in Dagsboro, Delaware. The following entities provided mutual aid assistance during this event:  Frankford (76), Millsboro (83), Millville (84), Roxana (90), Selbyville (88), Gumboro (79), Georgetown (77) and other support entities such the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Fire Marshal, the Delaware State Fire School, Delaware Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Sussex County Tech Rescue Drone and many others.

Emergency responses personnel coordinated many fire suppression operations to mitigate the incident which included but not limited water supply operations, aerial and master stream operations, manpower pool operations, rehab operations, traffic control, DNREC for environmental services from tire and oil substances involved, and other specific tasks as needed.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
