Nature: Traffic Collision w/Injuries

Address: John J Williams Hwy and Arrowhead Trl Indian Summer Village, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, October 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Indian Summer Village.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision rear-end type collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard area and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.   Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery if needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a silver Mercury Mountaineer SUV was struck in the rear by a gray Toyota RAV4 rendering the Toyota inoperable. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
