On Thursday evening, October 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a medical emergency associated with manpower assists for a cardiac arrest incident within the local fire district.  The alerts were in addition to the emergency medical services of the Sussex County Paramedics and nearest EMS providers.
