Nature: Extrication/Entrapped

Location: 33335 West Waters Edge Trl.,Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, October 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for an extrication / entrapped incident on West Waters Edge Trail off of Green Road.  It was reported than a male subject has an arm struck under his car passenger seat and unable to get freed.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response personnel were assigned to coordinate assistance attempting to free the subject.

It appears that a male subject was attempting to locate an electronic device under his passenger seat when his arm became struck and unable to get freed.  The person identified that he been in the situation for approximately one hour prior to seeking assistance.  Personnel were able to assist by applying lubricant on his arm and assist with dislodging. 

Additional observations were completed before being released back to the respective stations.
