Nature: Auxiliary Volunteer Spotlight Segment Recognizes Leolga Wright

In October 2025, the Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is honoring Leolga Wright for her decades of service in its monthly "Volunteer Spotlight" segment. A dedicated volunteer with the auxiliary since 1973, she is recognized for her administrative leadership, work on various committees, and other tireless contributions.
Highlights of Leolga Wright's service include:

Decades of volunteerism: Having joined the auxiliary in 1973, Wright has been a volunteer for more than 50 years. In May 2024, she was recognized for reaching her 50-year milestone.

Instrumental leadership: Wright has held several administrative roles, including vice president, treasurer and assistant treasurer, and has served as a chairperson for numerous committees.

Active participation: She is an avid and hardworking volunteer who participates in many capacities to serve both the auxiliary and the fire company.

Award-winning contributions: Wright has been honored with multiple awards, including induction into the Hall of Recognition for the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association & Ladies Auxiliary.
