Nature: Outside Fire

Location: Across from 32693 Back Nine Way Baywood, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, October 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire incident on Back Nine Way in the Baywood development off John J. Williams Hihgway.  It was reported to be shrubbery on fire in a flower bed.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility.  The Pot Nets Security was on hand to assist if needed as well.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and suppression of the fire.

It appears that a utility type enclosure was involved in a fire.  This enclosure was associated with possible telephone wiring which may impact the services in the area.  The fire was fully suppressed with a pressurized water can and all apparatus was permitted to return to their respective quarters.
