Nature: Structure Fire – Standby Assignment – Lewes (82) Fire Dept.

On Sunday afternoon, October 5th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to provide a standby assignment for the Lewes (82) Fire Department while they assisted the Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working residential structure fire.

The Rehoboth Beach (86), Bethany Beach (70) and Lewes (82) fire department actively worked to suppress a heavily involved residential structure on 1st Street in Bay Vista development west of Rehoboth Beach.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility to Lewes’ Nassau Station for standby assignment.
