Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John P Healy Dr and Indian Mission Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Saturday morning, October 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics were alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at John P. Healy Drive.  It was reported to be a three-car collision with unknown extent of injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Squad 80 and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Ford Crown Victoria, a Blue Chevrolet pick up and a white GMC Sierra pickup all collided at the intersection causing substantial damage to the vehicle and injury to two occupants of the vehicles. Multiple persons were transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with completed closure of Indian Mission Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
