Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential Structure – Seaview Loop

Location: 32611 Seaview Loop Long Neck Shores, DE 19966

On Tuesday morning, September 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential structure on Seaview Loop in the Long Neck Shorts development off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm going off in the residential structure, the homeowner smelled smoke and evacuated the residence.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew completed an exterior evaluation of the residential structure and commenced with an interior evaluation determining that the activation was the result of a culinary mishap.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
