Indian River Attends East Coast Garden Center Fall Open & Touch-a-truck Event

The East Coast Garden Center in Millsboro, Delaware held its annual Fall Open House and Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event offered free admission and family-friendly activities.

• Activities and features

  • Touch-A-Truck: Explore and interact with vehicles from the Indian River Fire Company and Coastal Towing, as well as local farm and landscaping equipment from RSC Landscaping.

  • Free hayrides: Take a complimentary hayride, located in the back parking lot.

  • Free kids' games: Enjoy free games for children in the Perennial House.

  • Complimentary food and drink:

  • Hot dogs: Free hot dogs will be available on the Cordrey Patio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Rita's Italian Ice: Enjoy Italian ice from Rita's, located near the Cordrey Patio.

  • Cordrey Charities bar: Have your first beverage for free from the charity bar, with all tips and proceeds going to Cordrey Charities.

  • Fall decor: Shop for pumpkins, mums, fall annuals, and other autumn decor in the main greenhouse.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company did have Brush 80 and its Fire Prevention Cohort present at the event to disseminate public relations information and support the community business.
