Nature: Structure Fire – Commercial Building - Assist Lewes (82)

Location: 1008 Kings Hwy Lewes, DE 19958

On Saturday morning, September 27^th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire departments were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a commercial structure fire at the Lodge of Historic Lewes on Kings Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It was reported to be a steamer on fire within the structure.

Many emergency response units were cancelled upon arrival of initial units which quickly mitigated the incident and downgraded the incident response.

Indian River units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
