Nature: Explosion Type Incident Reported

Location: Weis Market (80) (Nanticoke Crossing (80))

Early Friday morning, September 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for explosion type incident behind the mulch place adjacent to Weis Markets in the Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center.

Emergency responses units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response units responded to the area and met with the reporting person while conducting a search of the area behind the Back Bay Mulch and beside Weis Market to no avail.

The incident was marked unfounded and all emergency response apparatus was authorized to return to their respective stations.
