On Tuesday, September 23rd, the Delaware State Fire Police Association held their Annual Delaware State Fire Police Association Dinner Meeting at the 30th Annual Conference of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association in Dewey Beach. During this event various members of Delaware’s fire police associations were recognized.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that William F. Tobin, Jr. was recognized as the 2025 State Fire Policemen for the State of Delaware. The nomination was for his years of service, advocacy in and for the Delaware State Fire Police, years of services with the Delaware Fire Services as well as the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters’ Association.
This nominee has served in many capacities and performed many functions throughout the entire State of Delaware. This volunteer has continually achieved and accomplished the success of many endeavors with numerous legislative initiatives benefitting the entire Delaware Fire Service.
William has devoted many years of service to the fire service and the fire police associations over the years and was bestowed this honor upon him by Colonel William Crotty of the Delaware State Police.
Therefore, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to acknowledge and congratulate William F. Tobin, Jr. on his recent recognition as the State of Delaware Fire Policeman of the Year for 2025.
