Nature: Duty Crew - Long Neck Station

Location: Banks Road, Millsboro, DE 

On Saturday evening, September 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted a duty crew work detail for volunteers at its Long Neck facility. This work detail included tasks such as equipment maintenance, testing and running, apparatus and station cleaning, as well as apparatus restocking of large diameter hose to ensure the apparatus is prepared for emergency calls.

Emergency preparedness and response work details often run in parallel with standby duties while personnel complete tasks around the station, they remain ready to respond to incidents.

These events included a training and exercises component review equipment operations and handling.
