On Sunday evening, September 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident with ejection on Piney Crest Lane and Flipper Road in the Pot Nets Bayside development.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.  It was reported to be a motor vehicle accident with ejection and possible trauma arrest.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Tower 80, Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police which were already deployed on another incident.

It appears that a golf cart was traversing the roads of Pot Nets Bayside when an occupant fell off sustaining serious injury.

The Delaware State Fire Police and Pot Nets Security coordinated traffic control and perimeter access with the closure of affected streets in the Pot Nets development for and extended duration of time.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
