Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Indian Mission Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, September 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision at the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional resources included the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a silver Honda Civic compact car and a grey Ford Escape collided at the intersection causing significant damage to both vehicles and injury to one occupant of the vehicles. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
