Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday, September 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at John J. Williams Highway and Long Neck Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Millsboro EMS.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision at the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response personnel performed patient assessment, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation services.

It appears that a white Mercedes SUV and silver Honda mini-van collided at the intersection rendering both vehicles inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
