On Tuesday, September 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding on Sugar Sand Lane in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported as a residential alarm activation inside the structure.

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews completed an initial exterior and interior evaluation and identified the alarm sounding was from a water detection device installed in a cabinet experiencing an end-of-life alert notification.  After discussion with the residential occupants, all apparatus were returned to their respective quarters.
