Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Sounding – Commercial

On Wednesday evening, August 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a commercial fire alarm sounding at the Renaissance Nursing Home Facility on John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments completed an exterior and interior evaluation as well as spoken with the facility management personnel.

After evaluation, it was determined to that a pull station was activated by a resident.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
