Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential – Riverwood Road

Location: 31467 Riverwood Rd Stonewater Creek, DE 19966

On Sunday morning, August 17th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Riverwood Road in the Stonewater Creek development off Indian Mission Road.  It was reported as a residential fire alarm activation inside the structure.

Emergency response units included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews completed an initial exterior and interior evaluation.  After discussion with the residential occupants, all apparatus were returned to their respective quarters.  The cause of the incident was a culinary mishap.
