Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, August 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near the intersection of Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to be two vehicle rear-end type collision with one person needing an EMS evaluation for head pain.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a blue Hyundai Sonata sedan struck the rear of commercial shite Ford F150 pick-up.  Both vehicles were traveling east and suffered minor damage but one occupant need EMS evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with lane restrictions of John J. Williams Highway.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
