Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential – Winding Creek Village

Location: 39 Creek Dr., DE 19966

On Sunday morning, July 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding within a residential structure on Creek Drive in the Winding Creek Village development off Banks Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

A second call back from the residential occupants with proper pascode identified a culinary mishap and requested cancellation of fire apparatus.

All emergency response apparatus were cancelled and authorized to return to their respective quarters.
