Nature: Alarms - Commercial Structure

Location: Giants Gas Station

On Thursday, July 24^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding – commercial structure at the Giant Gas Station on John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a smoke detector activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River was Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as this was a second incident within the fire district.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior evaluation and spoke with the gas station attendant and determined it to be an accidental activation.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
