Nature: Alarms - Commercial Structure

On Sunday evening, July 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding at a commercial structure at Wawa on John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a fire alarm pull station activation at the commercial structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation of the structure.

It was identified that a female occupant of the store departed and manually activated the fire alarm pull station before exiting the structure.

All emergency responses were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
