On Friday afternoon, July 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Plaza Drive in the area of McDonald’s.  Additional emergency alerts included the Millsboro EMS based upon the multiple EMS alarms in the district.

Emergency response units from the Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. The Delaware State Fire Marshall (FM16) was in the area and assisted.

The vehicle accident was identified in the turn lane towards McDonald’s and downgraded to a property damage incident with emergency response units authorized to return to their respective quarters.
