Nature: Gas Leak

Location: 26760 Castaway Circle Pot Nets Lakeside, DE 19966

On Friday evening, April 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a possible gas leak incident on Castaway Circle in the Pot Nets Lakeside development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported of potential smell in the residential structure which was possibility propane.

Emergency response units from Indian River Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines 80 and 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation as well as interior evaluation of the structure, gas detector monitoring, and other evaluative techniques to mitigate the incident.

All evaluative measures yielded negative results regarding a potential propane leak at the residence.  All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted on the incident as well.
